The focal point of this work is the distant gaze on the face of the subject, swathed in white, set against tropical blue skies. Many warm and happy memories of Caribbean vacations flooded my mind as I painted the piece. I enjoyed creating texture by layering paint and adding pops of color with glass beads. Wonder what she’s thinking?
