The subject I painted in “Hello Sunshine” totally captivated me. You can see the weight of her life’s journey etched on her hands and in her slighlty hunched silhouette. In spite of that burden, her eyes sparkle as she enjoys a moment of abandon. In this work, I’d like to think I’ve captured that same spirit which resides in her amiga, whose feline companion provides her with comfort and strength.
