Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Textile This art quilt is the first in a series featuring hand cross stitched center medallion panels as the focus of the artwork. The hand stitching was done to complement the angel in the center panel and to add visual texture to the piece. A purple frame draws your attention to the Angel and the light purple borders draw out more of the colors in her gown. A muted Oriental print is incorporated into the background. The quilting stitches greatly enhance the overall design of the piece.
