About the artwork

Choir of Angels Tapestry (81” x 81”/ 206 x 206cm) (c) 2002-2005 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Textile This is the first in a series of quilts using the Wyoming Valley block. The art quilt is made from this one block with each block individually designed to create the overall design. The block used is the Wyoming Valley block from the 1930’s Chicago Tribune column, Nancy Cabot, written by Loretta Leitner Rising. Placement of the six different commercial fabrics affects the change in the design of each block. The blue paisley, mint green and solid burgundy colors used in the block, are drawn from the colors in the Angel Tapestry fabric and serve to emphasize the design elements. All stitching on this textile artwork is done by hand as well as the application of the binding. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**
