About the artwork
Prairie Leaf #1 (18” x 41.5”/46x105cm) © 2011-2022 Jean M. Judd, Textile Artist/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Hand Dyed Textile Prairie Leaf #1 is the first in a new series that was inspired by a trip to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, and a visit to a 20-acre restoration prairie filled with plants and wildflowers. I harvested some of the leaves that intrigued me and used the Compass plant leaf for this piece. The leaf is recreated here in actual size with hand stitching. I then used a 1/16-inch echo stitch design to give the piece a three-dimensional look. The green and rust ground is one of my hand dyed pieces. The artwork is designed to be displayed in either a vertical or horizontal orientation which allows for versatility in displaying the artwork spatially and visually. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
