About the artwork
The Desert Peach is an indigenous shrub growing only in the eastern Sierra Nevada and high desert and was used for medicinal purposes by Native Americans. I found this branch on my morning run at the Carson River and paired it with the Carnival glass pitcher I inherited from my mother along with a Thai Benjarong vase my daughter brought me from Bangkok. Benjarong vase painting is a meticulous art form passed down through the centuries in Thai culture.Medium Details
