About the artwork
Isn’t It Coffee Time? (21.5” x 21.5”/ 54 x 54cm) (c) 2005 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Textile The artist thought about all the mornings spent sitting over a cup of coffee, watching the swans and loons on the lake outside the window starting their morning routine, as she prepared for her day of leaving for the studio. The ritual of hunching over that first cup of coffee and looking down into the cup as the coffee, swirled after having stirred in the cream and sugar, is represented by the swirl echo quilted inside the cup. Of course, time plays a part in all of this as well – never enough time to just sit back and enjoy life, so a subdued image of a clock was quilted inside the coffee cup as well. The cup and coffee are hand appliquéd to the background fabric. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
