About the artwork
Fiesta Pinwheels (River Eddy #1) (33” x 33”/ 84 x 84cm) (c) 2004-2005 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Textile I saw pinwheels that I played with as a child as I was designing this textile artwork. Others who see the quilt on display tell me they see a river eddy that makes potholes in the bedrock of the river. This piefeeling: more relaxed feeling; like when a canoe paddle makes an eddy as you are paddling down a quiet river. The hand quilting in the border is reminiscent of Art Deco designs from 1910 to 1939. Each pinwheel has been hand quilted around each spoke to bring out the shape. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
