About the artwork
Diamond #5: Binding What Matters – 21.5" x 46" (54 x 117cm) (c) 2021-2023 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Textile The 5th piece in the Diamond series features 60-degree diamonds that were formed from the leftover pieces of binding from eleven (11) artworks completed between 1998 and 2021. Binding is the narrow “framing” done on my textile artworks that is like a narrow frame around a painting. The shape of the artwork itself is also a 60-degree diamond although the pointed two ends have been removed. Three other fabrics encase the center panel of leftover binding pieces. It creates bold and dynamic display options as shown in the different orientation images. A close-up image of the front of the work shows the shadow play and texture created by the stitching using eight (8) different thread colors. The detail image of the back of the artwork shows the extensive stitching detail at its best. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
