About the artwork
Contaminated Water #7: Lily Pads (26” x 41.75”/ 66 x 107cm) (c) 2011-2013 Jean M. Judd/Artists Rights Society (ARS) New York Hand Stitched Thread on Hand Dyed Rust Pigmented Textile This is the seventh piece in the Contaminated Water series of textile artworks. Rust pigmentation was applied to a hand dyed whole cloth textile. Scientific iron filings were used to create the mutated lily pads. Dense hand stitching emphasizes the interior of each lily pad while the circular pattern in the background gives the piece physical as well as visual texture. This piece, as is most of my recent work, is designed to be displayed in either a horizontal or vertical orientation. An image of the back of the art quilt is shown to see the depth of the hand stitches. **Contact Artist for relevant shipping charges to Buyer's location.**Medium Details
