From the artist: "This painting combines my love for the natural world along with the indigenous meaning behind the landscape. As a youngster I was fascinated with the Great Plains and its ancient inhabitants. I had been to the badlands as a child but didn’t see it thru a painters eye then. In October 2023, we happened to arrive to the badlands minutes before sunset. This was an amazing time for lowlight, glowing areas and the full moon rising. Organic rhythms and forms along with the earth tones, It was pretty easy for my minds eye to do a painting that paid homage to that."Condition
