Despite lacking artistic influences within his family, Victor’s talent stood out. He pursued formal education in the arts, eventually graduating from the College of Art and the Academy of Art in Minsk as an Artist specializing in Movie, TV, and Theater. His expertise led him to work as an art director in theater, a role that significantly shaped his creative instincts and honed his technical skills. This background provided him with a strong foundation, but the true turning point came approximately 30 years ago when he migrated with his family to the United States. This move opened up new horizons and presented myriad opportunities for his creative growth.
Victor’s artistic oeuvre is vast and varied, encompassing a wide array of subjects such as landscapes, still lifes, portraits, and marine venues. He is deeply committed to not only capturing the exterior of his subjects but also delving into their character and personality. This unique approach is perhaps most significantly inspired by his desire to draw people’s attention to the inherent beauty of God’s creation that surrounds us all.
His creative process is a nuanced amalgamation of traditional and modern techniques. Victor has spent years exploring various mediums, guided by the influences of Rembrandt and the old masters of Holland. His method blends their classical techniques with the dynamic flair of Impressionism, creating a uniquely versatile style. It’s this versatility that makes his art stand out—each piece is a testament to his ability to fuse time-honored techniques with contemporary sensibilities.
