I studied with renowned artist Arthur Maynard in New Jersey as a teenager prior to attending the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1973..
After raising a family and having a successful career in software development, I am now painting full time and can be found at my Golden Belt studio in Durham North Carolina most days.
My work falls into the category of Contemporary Realism. A perfectionist with a sense of humor, I strive to make each painting about color, contrast and a pop that evokes a “wow” to delight the viewer.
Although my favorite genres are seascapes and still lifes, I am also an accomplished portrait painter. My work has been purchased by collectors around the country.
