Bio

Exquisite, mystical, and inspiring are just a few words that have been used to describe the artworks of Laura. A true Renaissance woman, she is a visionary artist with numerous national and international art collectors as well as a classically trained pianist who currently has two music albums available worldwide.

Raised on a large crop farm in Kansas settled by her great-grandfather from Germany, she was surrounded with a wonderful family and nature. Laura’s curious and introspective character led her to find beauty and interest in so many different facets of the world around her, cultivating a passion for the arts.

Upon graduating from Bethany College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Oil Painting and Piano Performance, she decided to expand her creative world further by following her interests into the textile and fashion industry. This journey took her from a costume internship in West Virginia to the bustling streets of NYC, eventually earning a BFA in Fashion Design in Chicago. Although she co-founded a clothing company in Los Angeles, CA, International Citizen Design House, and worked extensively in the fashion realm for 10 years, a pull towards fine arts persisted.

In the end of 2019, following a transformative period in Mt. Shasta, California, Laura returned to Kansas where she integrated her experiences and spiritual focus once again into her fine art, creating her ‘sacred visions,’ a blending of traditional and innovative techniques. During her transition back into the fine arts, Laura also worked as an art instructor as well as artist with the Anima Mundi School in the Netherlands, a school with the focus on archetypes, dreams, and the reclaiming of the feminine based on the wisdom and teachings of Swiss psychologist Carl Jung. In the role “dreamweaver,” she painted the mythic stories and archetypes as well as the collective groups’ dream ideas onto long scrolls and into imaginative storytelling graphite compositions.

Laura’s hope is that her art will inspire a sense of wonder and appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us, inviting viewers to step into a world of magic and delight. She believes that art has the power to help us remember our true Divine nature, to stir our hearts, and ignite our imaginations
