Bio

Jennifer draws inspiration for her expressive paintings taking cues from Mother Nature, Interior Design and Fashion. She is a self- taught artist working primarily with acrylic paint and chalk pastels.  She gravitates to painting in dynamic, layered color palettes on large scale canvas.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Textiles with Apparel Design Concentration at Colorado State University. Jennifer worked in the clothing and textile industry for over 25 years focused on production, sourcing and design. Working with factories and customers all over the world Jennifer always made the most of her travels to New Zealand, Australia, Asia and Europe.  Always with a camera in hand, she took early morning walks from the hotels capturing moments and colors of the region to bring back to the studio before a long day at the factory. She studied with celebrated NZ artist Josie Martin (The Giant’s House, Akaroa) and prolific California painter Robert Burridge.  She enjoys teaching others how to make arts and crafts as well. She taught adults with physical and mental disabilities at Very Special Arts, Madison, WI and inspired disadvantaged children at Free Arts Arizona.

Jennifer’s art is in private collections in New Zealand, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona.
