Artist Statement:
My works are an exploration of what I see, what I experience and what’s inside me. Those feelings and emotions are a mix that always brings up something exceptional on my canvas. I love colors, the shape of the human body, so soft and so perfect, so true and beyond any language. I paint mostly elegant creatures, the I am also. In my paintings I am trying to capture elegance and timelessness while looking for a balance between classic techniques and contemporary subject matter.
In my work embroidery has become a permanent motif, as part of my memories of my grandmother, who tirelessly taught men this craft. Embroidery itself is the main focus of my paintings. Therese memories have given a new direction to my art.
