Harper Henry (b. 1966, Idaho Falls, ID) is a contemporary Western painter. After graduating from Paier College of Art with a BFA in Illustration, she enjoyed a successful 30-year career as a designer and art director in sports apparel and commercial advertising. Harper began painting professionally in 2016. Her work mainly focuses on Western and Indigenous figures, horses, and animals. She explores an unexpected fusion of two opposing art styles: abstract and realism. With her art she aspires to depict the realistic beauty of the subject matter while simultaneously presenting the viewer with abstracted fractal imagery, movement and emotion.
