This painting was inspired by a four-day rafting trip on the Colorado River thru the Grand Canyon. My family and I rafted the river during the day and camped on the river’s shore at night. The scene captures one of the locations where we camped for the evening. The sun is setting and painting the canyon walls with color, light, and shadow.
